ACEH ECO TOUR

We intend to introduce the hidden beauties and pearls of Aceh to a worldwide community of interested lovers of pure Nature. There are best diving places on Pulau Weh, pristine beaches along the 600 km west-coast of Aceh and on Pulau Banyak, volcanoes to climb, rich biodiversity in the forests as well as of mammals and birds, insects, reptiles. Several Entrepreneurs started in 2006 tourism activities, after the Helsinki treatment.
Those activities are on their best way to improve and several thousands of Eco-tourists have visited Aceh meanwhile, this astonishing Province of Indonesia, on the northern tip of Sumatra. Our contribution to the preservation of the pristine rainforests is the sponsoring of two Rainforest Lodges at Kedah and Ketambe.
Their staff and chief guides Mr.Johan offer a professional and phantastic job, by introducing the pristine rainforests of  UNESCO World Heritage „Gunung Leuser Rain forest Eco System“ to interested persons from all over the world and attracting tourists to visit Aceh and our lodges, as well as other Eco Tourism facilities.

  2. Mr. Joahn:

I´m Afonso, from Portugal. I´m 35 years old and I´ve been eco-touring for the last 15 years, although my profession is not related to nature (Arts performing and Arts teaching).

I´ve been to Aceh before, in Kutacane, where I did a trekking from there to Bukit Lawang.
But I would like to explore a less touristed area of the Leuser, more remote and hence more chances to see wildlife and biodiversity in its purer state. Maybe to the west of the Alas Valley, and that´s why my will would be to do it with you, basing my stay in your lodge in Ketambe.

My first idea was the East to West trek, arriving in Tapaktuan, but probably I would not be available for a whole 30 days of vacations, plus its surely a very very hard and tough trek. Could you tell me, anyway, more details about this journey (also price)? Thanks

As an alternative, my search showed that the "Upper Mamas Valley", to the confluence of "Sungei Markus" is still a beautiful unspoiled place and recovering well from earlier poaching times (1980´s-1990´s). Could you organize this trek, do you advise it?
My time frame for the trekking journey is 12-15 days, could you comment on which wildlife sighting treks you could arrange within 12-15 days, idea being not to climb to mountain tops, and going to really remote and biodiverse spots, departing from Wisma Cinta Alam Rainforest Lodge or Kutacane?
Also, how much would it cost, I think we would be two guests. Month will be either August or September.

I will wait for your answer, as soon as you can please.

Thank you in advance for your attention,

    Afonso Sousa
